Kick Ball-Cancer, Presented by LIVESTRONG and Sigma Nu Fraternity
Do you miss the classic game of kickball like we do? Well here is a chance to re-live those days, and help a charity while you're at it! Sigma Nu is holding its first Kick Ball-Cancer tournament. The event will take place at the Miller IM Fields, near Carmichael Gym on April 10, 2010. In addition to kickball, we have music, food for sale, a raffle, and some games.
Are you in a Greek organization? Do you live on campus in a residence hall? Do you just have friends that just want to kick some balls? Register your team of 10-12 people by contacting any of our event administrators via Facebook. There is registration fee of $70 per team (less than $7 per person!) and all proceeds will be donated to the Lance Armstrong Foundation. We will also be selling tshirts for 10 dollars at the time of sign up, or 15 dollars at the event. You can order your t-shirts through the site by Clicking Here
The event will start with pool play, and teams will be notified of their scheduled game times. Each Team will be guaranteed to play at least two games. After teams finish their games, the top 4 teams in each bracket (Mens, Womens, Co-rec) will play for the championship. The top 3 finalists of each bracket will win a trophy.
After trophy presentations, at around 5pm, we will have a catered BBQ dinner free to all participants. Additional Plates will be sold for $5 per person
The purpose of this tournament is to raise money for the Lance Armstrong Foundation. They help people who have been affected by cancer, and also help fund cancer research. Come out, bring your friends, have fun, and help kick cancer out of the park!
